This 6,000-square-foot tenant improvement transformed the lower level of an existing mixed-use building into a modern government office serving the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The space had previously housed a library, flooring store, and interior decorating office before being completely reconfigured to meet the needs of its new occupants.
The renovation included the construction of numerous private offices, collaborative workspaces, a secure reception area, shared meeting rooms, and a spacious staff break room. Extensive upgrades were completed throughout the building, including new mechanical ductwork, plumbing replacement to remove the existing Poly-B system, updated interior finishes, and a comprehensive Cat6 data network with integrated security infrastructure.
Designed with both functionality and employee well-being in mind, the finished office balances security with comfort. A contemporary palette of warm wood finishes, soft blue and green accent walls, and abundant natural light creates an environment that feels calm, welcoming, and professional. The clean lines, durable materials, and thoughtfully selected colours promote focus, reduce stress, and reflect the reliability and accessibility expected of a modern public service workplace.
