Bernard Penner

PRESIDENT

Bernie is the president and owner of Redline and has been in construction since he was 5 years-old standing on the roof of a garage his Dad was building for a neighbour on the weekend. His Dad did side jobs on the weekend and worked for PCL (Pool Construction at the time) in Edmonton until he formed his own construction company. He was very hands on and always developed a personal relationship with his clients. Bernie takes that same approach; our business is built on relationships. We do not take the approach of bidding everything and build what you get. It is important for us to ensure we have a relationship with our clients first and can see that we have the potential of working well together. Bernie has been working in Kelowna for over 30 years and the majority of our clients are from repeat business or referrals.

In order to ensure Redline is successful, Bernie has surrounded himself with people that compliment his skills. He is no longer directly on the tools but has a highly competent staff that love working for Redline. He treats them well, pays them fairly, and lets them know their personal lives are what’s important. Work is simply a means of supporting that life. So, enjoy work, work hard, and we will make sure you have the flexibility needed to enjoy your life outside of work. This approach has landed some very good talent that would rival any of the big firms in town as you can see by the various profiles online.

When not working, Bernie enjoys a balanced active lifestyle. He enjoys mountain biking, golfing, travelling, paddle boarding, and socializing. He has two loving kids; Craig and Rachel and has volunteered his time extensively for their sports and activities throughout the years.
